Review on 24-Inch Minuteman International Fireplace Pot Hanger Bracket in Black - Crane by Kim Young

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Beware of cheap devices!

WARNING: Buy your own hardware (studs and inserts)! I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the cheap hardware that cost me several hours of my life. Looks good but the screws and inserts broke off in my bricks and now I have to struggle to get them out and go to the hardware store and replace them! I hope I can get them out and the stones don't go bad! At this price, there is no excuse for including cheap and poorly made parts! I added a few stars to my 1 star rating after my initial frustration wore off and I was able to install it with good quality hardware from the store. I got tired after drilling cheap bolts and anchors. One of my bricks broke and chipped a bit, but I was able to put it back in place. It was long, difficult and tedious drilling out old unnecessary bolts and anchors until they fell apart, but I did it and then drilled holes in the brick to the next size. I definitely recommend wearing a mask and eye and ear protection - without them a whole world of pain awaited me after the mind-numbing hours of drilling. The faucet itself makes a well-made impression. As I discovered when I had to drill in cast iron to increase the size of the holes to move on to the next stud and anchor size. WEEEEEEE! It was fun without the drill. But the deed is done. The faucet is beautiful and supports my Dutch Oven. I think tonight I'll boil a pot of water over a fire just because I can. :-) So far I cannot recommend this faucet highly enough, but please do yourself a favor and get some quality screws and anchors first!
