I bought this to use on my cats. They LOVE fresh water. I kept turning it on for her. Then he left the room, forgetting that he had left the water on! As if that wasn't enough in terms of water loss. The worst came when one of my cats learned to turn the faucet on by herself! So, in a kind of panic, I started looking for possible solutions. This faucet solved both problems. 1) They can drink whenever they want. 2) Even if a cat moves the faucet handle, the water will not run or run. It changes the water pressure (and temperature when it turns on hot water), but at least it's not running all the time. My ONLY issue with this faucet is that my cat has mostly black fur. Because if so, then sometimes it seems that the sensor does not feel it. Luckily he has some whiteness on his face/cheeks and paws so he's learning how to manage that. And he knows how to position himself to get his portion of fresh water!
