This is a good quality connector but is not suitable for large cables. The cork was purchased to replace a seawater pump used on wakesurf ballast bags. Pumps use a lot of electricity, and even with standard 120V lamp cords, the plug and cord tend to get a bit warm. This connector has an inner hole and a screw for clamping the wires. However, they are not suitable for the size wires that I need. Soldering was difficult at best due to space constraints. On the plus side, the lockout features work well and the fork has a rubber washer to keep it in place and prevent spatter. I'm sure I'll find a use for it over time, but the connector with the factory pins worked better for this application.
