Review on 📡 Comet SS-460SBNMO: High-Quality 2M/70cm Dual Band Spring Mobile Antenna (NMO) with 3-Year Warranty by Theresa Jones

4/5 stars overall as it has a slight curvature. I bought this to install a lip mount on my truck. The antenna was packaged in a Comet neoprene bag. Inside the sleeve was a cardboard backing to prevent the antenna from bending. I opened up the antenna and everything looked great, but the antenna was slightly bent under the spring. It doesn't look like the actual part of the antenna is bent, just the spring is a bit. I hooked it up to an NMO lip mount, the spring pushing the nipple in is very strong. I had to press the antenna to get the streams going. After hooking everything up, I tested it with my radio before running the coax cable to the cockpit. I just hooked it up to a 5 watt HT-UV-5R and was able to hit a local repeater as well as a repeater out 16 miles on 2m and 70cm. Didn't try to go further to see my range, but only I set it to 15 minutes to check the readings and tone. The reports came clear and loud. The reception was great. I will update this review if anything goes wrong with the antenna based on my first impressions.
