First I bought a large one, but the bag isn't as big as advertised - it's 16 inches long instead of 19 and 12 inches high instead of 13. It doesn't seem like much , but the extra length is a travel mug difference that would be useful. The floor really needs a hard-walled container to support it, too. If you haven't put it in strong containers, it will sag quite a bit. It's also quite difficult to get to the bottom without spilling the top - it was important to hold the top to keep things from flying all over the place - hence I can't fill the top beyond what I can can be closed with the zipper. BUT I can no longer carry two bags to work. so that's pretty cool! The top isn't big enough to carry around a full-size notebook, but I usually get by with my planner and smaller notebooks.
