Not the same as a header filter. It's a similar size, but that's about it.
Do not buy this filter if you are looking for a real iron filter. That helps but doesn't remove it. I was trying to save a few bucks by buying it instead of the Pentek 155263, but after about a month I started seeing iron in the sink and toilet. I have never had such a problem with Pentek. Save money when you need true iron reduction.
