was damaged I have a few (3) old SATA II drives so I bought 3 of them and installed them. I then had to download the latest firmware and support software from the manufacturer's website. After installing the firmware verification software and support, I tested the drives with 60GB Patriot Pyro SATA III SSDs and got some interesting results. Yes, old SATA II drives paired with an SSD each and cache daughterboards were actually quite a bit faster than they used to be! I would recommend purchasing this product to those who have older SATA II drives and want to achieve near SATA III performance! Another great Revain purchase!
