Almost perfect just a little discomfort when cutting

My first experience with this knife was when my husband and I lived in China. I bought this knife from a vendor and it was a game changer. When we returned to the US, I couldn't take it with me. I was very upset and decided to replace it. I found this one and the reviews seemed pretty good so I bought it. Now remember that my immediate and natural inclination was to compare it to the ideal I had to leave behind in Beijing. This one is fine. I mean it cuts well and is really easy to control. The only thing I don't like about it is the slightly curved spot where you can hear the tip. When you're cutting, that little curved spot is the perfect place to put your other hand (I use my left thumb) to apply even pressure to both sides. My old one (which had to be abandoned) was very comfortable because the metal seemed to be a little rounded so there was no uncomfortable feeling when pressed. But this one - the top edge feels a little more jagged, the edges are a little sharper so it's a little awkward when you press on it. It's really petty. But if you're slicing a lot of cheese, like for a holiday tray, a big dinner, or whatever, it can start to hurt after a while. But if you're just cutting a few pieces for a sandwich, recipe, or whatever, then that's fine. It's 2 minutes of your life that doesn't matter. Overall, I'm glad I bought it and I'm happy with it. This small detail is the only thing I would change about the design.
