Works if you're on a budget, but nothing fancy

Knife is great for slicing. I bought this because I needed something cheap but would be a little versatile when it comes to slicing food. I've found that after about the 5th wash, the knife stains from cutting the food don't really come out anymore. The knife will continue to work, but I won't lie, it's nothing special and if I have the money to throw in some good knives I'll definitely avoid it. I recommend reputable brands when it comes to anything like kitchen knives.

Sturdy and cuts cheese easier than a regular knife

I've had one of these knives for a couple of years now and just bought another one. The former is still going strong, but this knife has found many uses (not just for cheese). It doesn't cut hard cheeses as easily as wire cutters, but it's very strong, easy to hold and control, and due to the reduced blade area, cuts much easier than a quality steak knife or sharp paring knife. I use it primarily for slicing 5-pound blocks of Tillamook cheddar cheese - as a cheese lover, I recommend it…

Very solid feel -- even high-end

Arrived sharp. Very hard-wearing feel - also high-end. Beautifully cuts tomatoes and. cuts cheese. Cuts soft cheese well. I think I cut the cheddar. He did great with Parmesan, a much harder cheese. Soft cheese will stick to it, but much less than a utility or chef's knife. It cut the mozzarella ball easily without sticking to the blade. I cut the parmesan without crushing it or making (too many) crumbs. This is the best cheese knife I've ever used. Considering the price, this is tremendous…

Good strong specialty knife

I'm writing this review after using the knife almost every day for over a year. This is a special knife that comes with features that help solve certain problems. The skeletal body prevents them from sticking to the blade as strongly as they would a solid blade. The end works like a fork. For harder cheeses, pay attention to the design of the cleaver. We have both and use them in the cases indicated. I didn't measure, but this knife has a blade about 6 inches long. This knife has proven itself…

Works no better with cheese than any other knife

I bought this knife primarily to cut 1/4 of a Pecorino Romano wheel. Of course, it's not long enough to make it through the middle, but even trying to cut the triangle through the wheel from top to bottom is definitely impossible. I use my regular 43 year old cutting knife for this job. Except for small bits, this knife works just as well as any other non-specialty knife, like my old paring knife, chef's knife, or even a bread knife. I think this knife might be good for slicing tomatoes but…

I'm very happy with this knife but not very happy with the cheat later

the handle looks small but I felt very comfortable in my big hands. The blade is VERY sharp and the holes make it easy to cut through hard and sticky cheese. It's not just a cheese knife. I use it for fruits, veggies, whatever. I keep children away from it for safety reasons. SCAM: After receiving the knife through Revain, I received a nice email stating that I was chosen for my patronage, excellent culinary skills, superior intelligence, gray cat and the like. to get a "free" Granton Edger…

Almost perfect just a little discomfort when cutting

My first experience with this knife was when my husband and I lived in China. I bought this knife from a vendor and it was a game changer. When we returned to the US, I couldn't take it with me. I was very upset and decided to replace it. I found this one and the reviews seemed pretty good so I bought it. Now remember that my immediate and natural inclination was to compare it to the ideal I had to leave behind in Beijing. This one is fine. I mean it cuts well and is really easy to control. The
