Not good for finding cold/leak spots

Pretty good for the money and finding hot things. It's a small tool, and it's made for the electrician, not the jack-of-all-trades. The three rendering modes always show the coldest area as dark or black, and these color modes cannot be changed. There are no user settings. A firmware update could make this a five-star tool for those other than those who need to find hotspots. An update, if it's ever made, will have a fourth rendering, a cold mode that will show the coldest places in the brightest colors. Without cold imaging, detecting cold air and water leaks is nearly impossible. That alone would make the tool significantly better, even if it is hardly used by the target group. Returned for a partial credit as it doesn't do what I need it to do but it works well and currently appears to be available as a used in excellent condition unit.
