For its performance, the lens is really light and compact. Of course, these are far from fixes with F2 and with a hood on, the carcass + glass bundle looks like an adult. Your visibility in the crowd is much higher than when using the Xf18F2 or Xf35F2. It is slightly repulsive to use a subject for a street, although its design and characteristics fit perfectly into this genre. What is worth switching AF / MF by clicking the focus ring. With such aperture, it is especially pleasant to take pictures at night, when night lighting makes familiar places mysterious and mystical. Excellent sharpness allows you to compose the frame as you like, giving you the ability to deviate far from the central location of the subject. Of course, on F1,4 softness in the corners is still present, but it is extremely adequate and not striking. EGF equal to 24mm is still too narrow for fans of astrophotography or landscapes with a division into three plans (near / medium / far). Of course, you can take pictures, but at the same time a large amount of land and sky will not be included in your plot. The same can be said about interior photography. The corrected distortions just ask you to use the lens in some advertising space, but you can’t put everything in the frame. Personally, the XF 16mm f/1.4 suited me as a "low light" glass for walking around the city, meaning shooting buildings, architecture and the street.
