Review on Armarkat Tree Model A7101 Navy by Diane Beachem

I've had my eye on the Armarkat trees for a long time and this one was really cheap and suited the space of our room perfectly. The assembly of this tree was easy and took about half an hour with two people participating at the same time. I suggest wearing gloves when handling the scratching post/rope as I picked up some nasty sisal splinters and lacerations. This scratching post stretches in length, but for us we already had the kitty stuff on the floor (the kitty bed and its stretcher) so we just tucked it under the bottom two ledges so it didn't look like we had room wasted ground. We have a scratching post next to our closet door so it was important to us that we figure out where the width wouldn't impede the closet door opening and it would just fit in our space. My cat loves everything except the top perch (I think it's too high for her? She seems very hesitant to climb on her own and cries when we pick her up and put her back and forth) and the hammock. She made the mistake of jumping into the hammock without examining it closely, startled when it stirred under her paws. The rest of the tree is a hit, especially the house part and lots of ledges to sit or sleep on. The material that covers the wood is definitely soft and plush. It reminds me of my micro velvet blanket that my cat sleeps on at every opportunity. It seems easy to clean and arrived with no weird chemical smells. ((EDIT: It's been three months now and the easiest way to clean wood (without using a vacuum) is to brush the cloth while I'm wearing nitrile gloves. The fur pulls up and forms big clumps that easy to pick up .)) Sisal ropes are all tightly wrapped and have no protruding ends. Armarkat sells replacement cat trees and other items on their website so I'm glad I can replace anything that gets damaged over time rather than buying a whole new tree. Partner and I find it fits well in our room without being too bulky. All are happy!
