My loud fan in my HP laptop was annoying me and then I got the message that the fan was no longer cooling properly. I researched the possibility of a replacement at a computer store and found it would take a week or more and cost maybe over $100. I watched a YouTube video about replacing a fan in a laptop and decided to give it a try. It's not the easiest process, but if you're careful like me, it's not that difficult. Reassembled everything and booted up the laptop, it's been running quiet and smooth ever since. There are many different fans out there so make sure you order the right one.
