Review on 🌡️ Fluke 62 Max Infrared Thermometer (Non-contact) - Temperature Range from -22°F to +932°F by Eric Kim

Excellent long range thermometer with easy to read display

Bought for my father when his old IR thermometer from the early 2000's finally stopped working. Since he can't see well it was important that I give him something with a bright display and backlight and since he uses a wood stove I needed something that could withstand temperatures of at least 1000F (about as hot as it is). can measure) get hot in the oven). It's perfect for that. It's easy to use, has two bright red laser dots to tell you what you're aiming for, and can be easily adjusted to get the current/min/max/avg temperature. what are you looking at. Ideal for home or workshop use. Its response time, which is said to be in the range of 500 ms when oscillating, is particularly impressive. I had fun scanning the room and identifying hot and cold spots near the floor and ceiling and figuring out what temperature was comfortable. It turns out that temperatures around 170-180F make things uncomfortable to work with. The construction looks very solid, typical for Fluke devices. I bought him lithium cells so he can store the battery in the device on the shelf and not worry about it exploding, and a small pouch for extra batteries. I also bought an "Aproca Hard Travel Storage Case" for it - although it claims to fit the Fluke 62 Max thermometer, it also fits the Max plus. I would recommend it to most people who need a regular home IR thermometer. I've been thinking about getting one for my own use, for small desktop jobs and electronics work, but it's a bit bulky for that, I'll probably go with something more compact.
