Review on OtterBox DEFENDER SERIES SCREENLESS EDITION Case for Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G - BLACK: Ultimate Protection for Your Device by Eric Budd

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I ordered and tested 5 cases for s21 Ultra, this is the best option.

I bought and tested 5 cases for my new s21 ultra, I wanted to make sure I was getting the best protection for my investment. See my other reviews for comparison. (Sorry for the grainy pictures, they were taken with an iPhone) My number one priority when choosing a phone case is durability. I work in construction so I need the best case I can get in terms of build quality and durability. Because of this, my reviews of these cases are almost entirely about durability. If that doesn't bother you then my reviews may not be for you. The Otter Protector series has long been the best protection for your phone and that hasn't changed with s21. I didn't do any drop testing but based on just putting all of these cases on my phone it's easy to feel and see the difference in quality. piece of construction. It doesn't add any weight to my phone but still holds up well on my magnetic phone mount in my car. I've also tried several screen protectors (all tempered glass) and they all work great with the case. (not so much the fingerprint sensor). Also, don't let the belt loop on this bag distract you, you don't have to use it at all if you don't want to. I like to carry my phone on my belt, but I'm a dad and I'm not looking for funny moments, this phone is big in my pocket. Also, when I'm at work, I cover the screen with a cover (it fits the front or back of the phone) so I know my phone is fully protected from everything. Here are other cases I compared against: - Griffen Survivor - Samsung Ultra Silicone w/s-pen - ZIZO Bolt Series - SPIDERCASE - VRS DESIGN Damda Glide Pro - TORRAS Moonclimber (on my wife's standard s21) Zizzo turned unexpectedly as my next closest out choice in terms of durability. It wins in the looks department in my opinion, but the Otter still impresses with its durability. The Spidercase is a great value, fully waterproof option, perhaps for a day at the lake.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Compatibility
