I bought a Keysmart for myself a year ago because it seemed like the best solution when I had too many keys on my keychain or carabiner. Keysmart serves this purpose well. The Keysmart is a simple device whose design is the result of common sense. The two sides are stamped from thin aircraft-grade aluminum and finished with rounded edges and powder-coated. Wear parts are made of stainless steel for a long service life. The device consists essentially of buttons, so it works like a pocket knife or multi-purpose tool. The dowels are held between the aluminum sides by internally threaded sockets into which the lugs are screwed. The splines are separated on the bush by thin fiber washers. This allows for an adjustable friction fit depending on how tight or loose the keys are. The system works well and is expandable with the purchase of a separate kit. If the keys unfold too easily on one end, simply tighten the grommet on that side with a flathead screwdriver, knife blade, fingernail, or whatever. Everything is very simple. The optional quick release is a great way to keep your car key (with fob) separate from other keys. It consists of a small double spring-loaded aft carabiner with a single locking lever that securely locks both sides. Then, when you drop off the car for service (or rent it), turning the lever will unlock the carabiner, allowing you to separate the car keys from the Keysmart. The car keys stay together on the carabiner until you attach them back to the Keysmart. Keysmart and Quick Disconnect work well together as a key holder and organizer. Because I love it so much I bought 3 Keysmarts this year to give my sons and brother-in-law for Christmas. Guys are always hard to buy. I like to give away things that I use myself and that I like. So far no complaints! 😊
