Actually, I didn't buy this, because it's a selfie stick. I bought it to use as a desktop mount for my webcam. I've tried these flexible mounts (horrible and difficult to bend) and also tried the spring-loaded lever (the mount never caught on the edge of the table and kept bouncing). None fit me and I sent them back. So I went for simplicity and chose a tripod. The design of this model allows you to place the webcam anywhere and at any height. And I will use the phone mount when I take videos with my phone from time to time. I'm not sure I even need the little wireless bluetooth trigger, but I tested it and it paired and worked with my Samsung phone with no problems.
