Review on 🔧 Dorman 615-178 Intake Manifold for Ford, Lincoln, Mercury - Engine Component Selection by Scott Yenson

It has been a few years since I purchased and installed this manifold so this is the 'confirmed' rating we all look for when we read reviews. I was one of the lucky car owners who didn't have an expensive engine repair due to the instant loss of coolant from a cracked transition pipe (originally plastic). I first noticed a small coolant leak due to a crack in the thermostat "cup" (also originally plastic). The improved manifold with aluminum transition pipe perfectly matched the original. As with any motor job, the bulk of the work is getting to the part that needs replacing. After removing all the necessary components, the installation went smoothly according to the instructions that came with the distributor. I haven't had any leaks since replacing the block and it came with all the gaskets needed to complete the job. Of course I've also replaced other seals etc on parts that had to be removed to gain access such as: B. the fuel injector etc. but the manifold part ordered, gaskets and seals were of excellent quality and were easy to install. .
