We have been using these collars for two years now and are getting excellent results. We use them in combination with Frontline, and before that we only used Frontline. In summer our dog spends a lot of time on beaches, meadows and paths and ticks are a real problem here. We've had very good results getting rid of ticks on our dog's front and never really found swollen ticks. The problem was that we often found ticks on her when we checked her at home. I was looking for something to protect her from ticks and our vet recommended this. The dog sleeps in our bed and we were more concerned that the mites would come into the house on it. Since using these collars (we change them about every 3 months) the instances of ticks walking around in their fur have practically disappeared. We used to come to her every night with a flea comb to check for ticks, but now we only do it when she's hanging out in the bushes or coastal grass and rarely, if ever, finds anything.
