Review on Precision Made Simple: PROTRAC06 6 Inch Marking Protractor for Accurate Measurements by Justin Early

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Well done measuring and marking tool Tool

I did a project a while back where I cut some tricky corners. I did it with a clear plastic protractor I had at the store and it turned out fine but I figured there must be something better than that. I have a good tractor type device but it's not for what I do, designed, so I started looking for something better. I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit that I was completely unfamiliar with Infra, despite being a "salesman" for most of my 65 years. Anyway, this tool appeared on Revain. I liked what I have to say and read and ordered it (along with the Incra ruleset). Although I haven't done a project that has required me to use this protractor since I got it, I've gone back and duplicated what I did on a previous project on scrap paper and wood and it's a great tool . I've marked angles along the side of the board and the stripe, not to mention the best word, at the bottom puts the protractor exactly where it needs to be to measure angles and it's very easy to line up the indices on the protractor . the point I marked on the board. All angles and breaks are clearly marked and the slots in the protractor make it easy to mark exactly where I want with the included 0.5mm mechanical pencil. Like other Incra tools, it's made of thin stainless steel, allowing for more precise marking with no parallex error. As a result, you don't want to just toss this in your toolbox with hammers and adjustable wrenches. This is a precise instrument. I actually made a small wooden box using a protractor and other Incra tools. The tool is made in the USA and that is important to me.
