This is an updated review. After I had issues with my original device and posted a negative review here, it seems the company contacted me to fix the issue. Five business days after I replied to them (usual shipping time via UPS Ground from West Coast to East Coast), a new DVR arrived with a return label for the defective unit. I changed everything and the new dash cam worked for a couple of weeks with no problems, except that it still kept making annoying beeps from time to time even though I *THINK* had all the alarms turned off. With no further action on my part, 101AV called me again today to check and make sure everything was working fine. When I told him about the alarm he walked me through the process of turning it off and also helped me figure out that it wasn't connected to the internet. As it turned out, that was the cause for concern. The ethernet cable I used had a broken retaining clip and was not making good contact with the connector. The technician was very friendly and helpful and here's the part where the customer service goes above and beyond. He left me his cell phone number and said if i have any problems, feel free to call and ask for help. This service is worth five stars in my book! Based on my experience, I can't help but think that knowing that this company is backing their product means a person can buy with confidence. I have changed my original rating from one star to a well deserved five stars. First review I left: This DVR is an absolute lemon. Everything seemed to be working fine at first, but in recent weeks the cameras have been randomly going out for a few minutes. Now the dash cam seems to restart every few minutes. This resets all settings to default, especially the video loss alert, which causes loud annoying beeps every few minutes. sure, I'm already well outside of Revain's return window. I absolutely regret this purchase. When you buy a DVR, choose something else. Edit: The company responded to this review asking to be contacted. When I did, they very quickly decided to send a replacement with a defective return label. As this process is ongoing I will leave the initial review as is but will update as the situation evolves.
