This is a very handy adapter. You can choose your SFP and upgrade from Ethernet to USB 3.0. I found the device to work very well and had no problems using it with Windows. I saw another review that mentioned Mac issues and I haven't tried it on Mac, but it should be compatible with Mac OS. I think the best aspect is how small and light it is. You can pop it back into your laptop, and if you're doing networking or fiber optic work, it's a great tool to have on hand. Star technology is well established and has been around for quite some time. The price is average for such an adapter. Overall, this is a decent product and does its job well. The speed was impressive too. I definitely recommend this for people who are into networking a lot.
