Not enough superlatives for the quality and sharpness of this lens or its low light performance. Almost all the photos I've taken with him are very good, and some are just great. However, using this lens more often has two disadvantages. The first is the weight of the lens itself. It's fine to use at home or elsewhere for a short time, but inconvenient to carry around for long periods of time, to travel, or even to keep still for long periods of time. The second (and least important) fact is the push/pull (which is sharper and feels less precise) to frame your picture. It's not that hard to do, but it's a distraction and a chore that annoys me a bit, as I'm pretty spoiled by more modern lenses. Once it's on I do it, but the thought of having to do it is often gross. So while this lens is significantly better than my other options at this length, I often overlook this when choosing the lens I'm going to use on any given day.
