If You Care products are pretty good. I buy them when I can as I love that they are all unbleached and chlorine free. #4 coffee filters work great in a typical brew system or pour-over style. I've used it for the latter case and have found that when I press down on the filter with my hand to force the remaining liquid out of the coffee grounds, it can tear at the seam. I don't think most people would experience this as most people would use it to drip coffee into the machine. But remember, if you need to manually pour hot water over ground coffee - just let gravity do its job and don't worry about helping it by squeezing out the remains. It's compostable! After you've made your coffee, throw it in your compost heap! They seem to prepare their products carefully. Whenever possible I choose one of their products over the typical stranded or plastic laden product.
