PLEASE PLEASE check these regularly if included in kits and not used regularly. These are essential items if you have zip ties in your gear but when nostalgia got the better of me and I ordered two lighters I knew I would add them to the order. I bought two fill cans six weeks ago and kept them in semi-rigid cases in backpacks in the back closet. During a routine gear check and no wonder the lighters were empty, I opened them to fill the lighters to see how much they held. Imagine my horror when ALL the top chambers - outer cover, inner spout and o-ring - fell apart as one piece, separate from the lighter fluid chamber, and spilled all the liquid. Luckily the liquid only spilled over a few small parts that need replacing. This is a major safety flaw - not only are you losing vital fuel in the field, but you could also be drenching other gear with lighter fluid. If this leads to your spare bic or matches, you now have a fire safety problem with those items. This is an unbiased review. These were additional items that had expired so I know there is no chance of a refund. So this review isn't affected by a possible refund basis (sometimes I doubt long negatives from non-super contributors), just a desire to warn others. They were bought by Revain as a retailer so don't worry if they are fake. I hope I have defective items, but I encourage you to open them if you are testing other items during an equipment check.
