Review on Thomas Plastic Traceable Refrigerator Thermometer by Charles Lewellen

I've been using a thermometer for 7 years and most of the time it gives me peace of mind because I can look at it and make sure my freezer is staying within the expected temperature range. Last week, however, the thermometer alarm went off. My wife took something out of the freezer and didn't push the drawer all the way in so the door wasn't fully closed. The alarm warned us before anything started to thaw and we were able to fix it. The thermometer seems relatively expensive, but the savings quickly pay off. I saw someone else comment that the batteries are still working after a few months of use. I don't remember changing mine in the last 7 years. Maybe I did and forgot, but if I did, it would only be once, I'm sure. In fact, I'm going to change it now so as not to lose performance due to a dead battery. I just checked the directions and there is no alarm to tell you to change the dough. The instructions say to replace it if you start getting erratic readings or the display goes dark, which isn't the case for me. It uses one AA battery.
