I had an old, very, very large sewing basket that I bought in 1986. The handle and the plastic bowl were broken. So I finally decided I deserved a new one. The largest available cost far more than I was willing to pay. I chose this Singer basket because the price and size are right. I walked through the bottom of the old one and it was a layered time capsule. I had parts for a car I bought in 1968 and replaced in 1981. Well, the new basket contains only the bare essentials, and that's fine. Less heavy, reasonably well made. The concepts included are worth nothing if you've been sewing for years. I am sure, that your own representations are 100 times better than this one. I threw them away. But oddly enough, the tray is much more durable than the old basket. Good choice. I would recommend and buy again.
