Review on KT THERMO Instand Read 2-Inch Dial Thermometer: Ideal for Perfecting Coffee Drinks & Chocolate Milk Foam by Amy Lucero

This is my first 1 star review but due to the inaccuracy of this thermometer I am forced to do so. I bought this to test the temperature of a beer kegerator with a liquid water test. After over 12 hours of side cutting a glass of water in a kegerator at 35 degrees, the thermometer read 25 degrees but the water was still definitely runny. Then I took out the glass and added ice cubes to do the ice bath test. This time the thermometer read 20 degrees, which means it was wrong by 10-12 degrees, which is totally unacceptable for a thermometer. Then I did the boiling water test. I'm at 9700 feet above sea level, so the boiling point is 194 degrees, but the thermometer reads 175. I understand this being advertised for hot coffee drinks, but when the thermometer is said to be rated for 0-220 degrees (and even includes a marking index). for "ice" at 32 degrees and "cooking" at 212 degrees) it should be fairly accurate over the entire range. As this thermometer is not user calibrated it is completely useless to me.
