Works great for fruit and veg so far. However, when I tried to cut the salami (maybe it's just one brand) it didn't cut - it just stuck together in the mandolin. Haven't tried it with other meats yet so fingers crossed. I was very, very disappointed that he didn't cut any of those big sticks of salami. Easy to use and clean, very durable, and if you don't need instructions on how to tie your laces, you should have no trouble taking them apart and putting them back together. The food pusher is solid but will bang on the sides so you won't get very far. Be smart and invest in a good protective glove. Got one here from Mafores and it worked like a champ. Remember that they are made very sharp. Like a surgeon's scalpel. Don't be stupid and have fun cutting your item to the end without slowing down. This isn't rocket science.
