Works great, durable, lightweight and compact to pack in luggage; 110/220 switch needs repair

I love freshly ground coffee in the morning. This little pot just went to Europe with me for a few weeks and did its job perfectly. I used a reusable fine mesh Primula Single Serve filter with it. The 110/220 switch is a little tricky to use, but I was wary the first time, played around with it to figure it out, and haven't had any problems since. It rotates in the opposite direction of what seems intuitive to me, but as long as the slot is pointing at the correct voltage, you've got it set correctly. I used a file on nail clippers to flip the switch. The slot is too narrow for a coin or key. I took off one star for the switch design. I also sent the manufacturer a proposal to change their design with an auto-sensing circuit instead of a switch. I'm an engineer and I know it can be done, maybe for just a few bucks more. If you connect it to 220 with the switch in the 110 position, you'll probably kill it, and there's no real reason to leave room for that error. But if you're careful, this product still works great. A full pot boils at 110 or 220 in 3 minutes. People who say it takes too long to boil, maybe the 110/220 switch is in the wrong position, or you have a broken kettle and need to return it. Yes, there can be hard water buildup, but don't blame the kettle! Just wipe them off.
