Works great, durable, lightweight and compact to pack in luggage; 110/220 switch needs repair

I love freshly ground coffee in the morning. This little pot just went to Europe with me for a few weeks and did its job perfectly. I used a reusable fine mesh Primula Single Serve filter with it. The 110/220 switch is a little tricky to use, but I was wary the first time, played around with it to figure it out, and haven't had any problems since. It rotates in the opposite direction of what seems intuitive to me, but as long as the slot is pointing at the correct voltage, you've got it set…

I love this portable kettle. but.

Five stars in total. I love how small and compact this kettle is when folded. I filled it to the bottom of the plastic rim around the top and then poured in almost 4 cups of liquid to make it a large capacity.** It boiled cold tap water in ONLY 6 MINUTES at the top plastic rim).** It has an auto shut off feature and a reboil: it turns off automatically when the water boils, but I left it on, and after a few minutes (maybe 8?) it started boiling water again. It's VERY easy to fold up - no more struggle and frustration!

It's so easy to destroy! I've had a similar product (different brand) before and wow, there's talk of it never fitting into a boxed scenario. what a fight My old one took 4 hands to fold it. New - only one hand. Glad you need a new one. Why new? No evidence, just speculation. I'll see if it happens again with this one (or switch to my Plan B described later).
