Review on Granite Ware Enamel on Steel 🍲 Covered Casserole, 5-Quart: Speckled Black Durable Cookware by Kim Jones

I purchased this product based on my great experience with Granite Cookware, Lidded Pan and Lidded Pot. This pan has flaws - it's thinner than other pans I've used and the enamel coating is missing or chipped in a few tiny spots. There are also poorly finished edges on the lid, particularly the lid handle. During the first wash before use, I cut my finger while holding the cover by the handle. Looking at the underside of the handle, I saw where the metal had a sharp, pointy protrusion. I didn't want to return the item because I'm afraid of going to a crowded post office during a pandemic. So I had to file the bar to make it less pointy and then use needle nose pliers to push up and back into me. Even after that I now use an oven mitt all the time which holds the lid even when it's cold and I don't touch that handle when cleaning the lid. Other granite utensils I've used in the past are excellent with us. . So it could be a lonely lemon. But be careful - check the product before touching the edges and handles.
