Great quality and roomy bag (48 oz). The large opening makes filling and emptying a breeze, which is great as these types of bottles can get pretty dirty over time. I prefer bubble bottles for travel and camping because they fold up into a smaller area when empty. I have Nalgene Wide Mouth and Platypus. Of the two, I prefer the Platy for drinking and the compact size when empty. I also like that it has a loop but holds less water. Nalgene is preferred for public filling and easy cleaning. By public refill I mean from pre-filtered stocks via spray distribution. When I travel in Africa we purchase and/or filter water for consumption and it is dispensed from 5 gallon jugs using a pump or gravity nozzle. Because the openings in the platy are small, it's impractical if you're sharing with a large group, as the opening is only slightly larger than the nozzle - read people don't want germs out of their mouths on the nozzle. Ha. Even if you wash it first, you'll still get noticed and you can't be sure that others have kept it clean too. For gravity filtering in a camp where my gear is mine, this is great. I pre-filter 2 liters and then hang up a clean bag and fill Platy with a hose. Nice. Nalgene handles this easily at camp too and is much better with the spout as it has the same wide opening as a standard bottle. Again, this is very easy to clean, and you can even use a dish swab, which helps. Pros: - small when empty - good quality - easy to fill and clean - stands up well when more than half full - fits well in a water bladder case for storage (no straw) - can be used as is to hold items in a Bag wrapped to be malleable. (if anything) - doesn't get as small as the Platypus version - I prefer the smaller hole on the Platy for drinking, it's similar to the hole on a Smart Water bottle etc and you can easily drink it on the go without spilling because that all fits easily in the mouth.
