This cable allowed me to connect audio through a USB-C hub so I only had one connection when I sat down at my laptop. I also now have an available audio input on my Macbook so I can plug in my headset mic and a separate speaker. I like to do this sometimes because the sound in my speakers is amazing and my headset is so-so. The sound quality of the microphone through this adapter is excellent. I had to increase the gain in my computer's audio input settings to get the desired volume for the headset mic, but otherwise the sound quality is about the same as the computer input. I like the processing quality very much. The cable is pleasantly flexible. The audio-in metal end feels great, and the USB end feels solid. Just feels like a premium product. Overall it did what I wanted, didn't need to adjust anything and I have a feeling it will last!
