I used this to repair a cracked exhaust manifold on a Geo Tracker. This material works well as long as the metal is properly prepared. I used a grinder to remove all the rust and make a rough finish on the metal. I drilled both ends of the crack with a 1/16" drill bit to keep the crack from propagating. Then I used a cut-off wheel to cut a groove about 1/16" down the crack to apply the epoxy to keep in place. I applied a thin coat about 1-1/2 inches wide and waited 24 hours. Then applied a heavy 2nd coat and waited another 24 hours. let cool down. For about the first hour of driving I could smell a faint smell of epoxy at every stop, but after that everything was fine. So far he's doing great. I think most people make the mistake of cleaning rust with a wire brush, no, but on castings the wire brush polishes and the epoxy doesn't stick to the slippery surface.
