Not good for broken parts

Not sticky like jb weld. I broke off two small pieces from an old potbellied stove trying to open the firebox. There wasn't a good way of holding the pieces where they needed to be to reattach them. Although I had to cure and dry a piece and it looked like I could use it, it fell apart before I could dry it. I will try again but it is not easy to work with and very brittle before heat setting. I can buy JB Weld's high temperature product if I can't hold it. I am extremely disappointed. Thisโ€ฆ

Works great, leftovers can be reused.

Used to repair a cracked exhaust manifold. Lasts after a month. The product is a liquid and a sand powder that must be mixed. It spreads and smooths out like peanut butter. Make sure you prep the area properly, which I did, but as a test, I smoothed it over the area that wasn't there and it kind of came off. It cures with heat so I recommend using a heat gun after application to speed up the curing process. I found that the remaining product had not solidified in the container after a weekโ€ฆ

SAAB Vintage Multiple Crack Exhaust

2 cracks (1/16" x 2") on a 1994 SAAB T8 multiple exhaust. As mentioned by other users, the texture in the container can vary: a small amount of liquid and a fairly hard paste. After 15 minutes of mixing, the texture became "yogurt". It could not be applied in one layer. I decided to apply in three coats, 2 and 3 hours apart. I sanded the area around the cracks and expanded the cracks a bit with a small cutter. The temperature (France, Atlantic coast) was 12ยฐC (54ยฐF?). Thumb test worked after 48

Works well when done right.

I used this to repair a cracked exhaust manifold on a Geo Tracker. This material works well as long as the metal is properly prepared. I used a grinder to remove all the rust and make a rough finish on the metal. I drilled both ends of the crack with a 1/16" drill bit to keep the crack from propagating. Then I used a cut-off wheel to cut a groove about 1/16" down the crack to apply the epoxy to keep in place. I applied a thin coat about 1-1/2 inches wide and waited 24 hours. Then applied aโ€ฆ

an excellent article, on my new V10 engine with passenger seal there are none on either Exhaust gasket ends, instead, as with any engine, I got out of the exhaust studs, just took my Dremel tool tuned for a wire brush, cleaned everything, and then took my air compressor and removed any residue from cleaning the exhaust manifold. I open up the Quicksteel -Product and mix the contents with a screwdriver using a screwdriver THEN APPLY TO THE MISSING AREAS ON THE EXHAUST GASKET THEN LET DRY FULLYโ€ฆ
