Not for watches

This thing is great for 2D objects like stamps. However, it is not possible to adjust the focus so that something 2mm or more from the bottom of the clear plastic part is in focus. Would you like to study the face of your watch by placing this magnifying glass on the glass? Too bad the dial is too far away to focus on. Would you like to see the gear train in your watch? You can't concentrate on it, that's a shame. Do you want to look at a piece of paper? Yes you can. The other boney part of this thing is the battery cover. It comes with a special removal tool for replacing the batteries. Why? Why did they use a proprietary circuit that requires a special tool to use? I'll lose this cheap little instrument long before the batteries run out, and then I'll have to improvise. Every other similar device in the world lets you open the battery compartment with a coin, but not here. Really stupid. Aside from the limited and crippling focus range and the stupid battery compartment, everything else is fine. It's plastic, but the image is clear and the light is bright. Just don't advertise it as useful on a watch, as most of the time it isn't. I highly recommend this article if you are just checking documents and seals. because most of the time it doesn't work. I highly recommend this article if you are just checking documents and seals.
