Sure, they work and do what most water filters do, but they're ridiculously overpriced for basically a canister full of strainer and activated carbon. In some cases, you're spending thousands of dollars on a GE refrigerator. That they then shove their own filter cartridges down your throat and drive up the prices is an absolute slap in the face. To me it shows how they really treat their customers. The sad thing is that when you buy a fridge, it's a thing that eludes research and will bite you later. GE, if you're reading this (and you probably aren't reading this because you clearly don't care about your customers), get this: we're the same people who paid to get you out of bad business practices. Don't push us away by insulting our intelligence, and don't try to make us believe that that overpriced cartridge is much more efficient or efficient than a cartridge that is many times cheaper. Stand up.
