Review on Nuvatek Silver Magic Plate: Enhanced Tarnish Remover for Silverware, Jewelry, Gold, Copper, and Platinum by Chelsea Hernandez

Works better than expected. Use washing soda, not baking soda.

Removes most tarnish from a silver tea set. This is particularly useful for removing tarnish from decorative areas. A few tips: 1. The amount of water to be used is not specified in the instructions for use. They indicate the use of baking soda. Per other reviews, I used a bowl 2/3 full of hot water and a few good shakes of WASHING SODA instead of baking. Next time I think I'll try a 5 gallon bucket to fully submerge my coffee pot and tray. I also added more washing soda as the solution seemed to be slowly losing strength towards the end of my task. 2. The solution smells like dead fish. Use outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Put on gloves, lay out newspaper or old towels.3. Thoroughly dry items immediately after removing them from the solution. Otherwise the silver plate will be covered with white veil.4. The solution spattered onto my painted porch, leaving a white haze. It seemed to come off once I wiped it with the rest of the solution and doused it with fresh water from a hose. After the bath I quickly polished everything with silver polish. But since 95% of the temper colors were already removed (especially in decorative areas), it took about 1/4 of the usual time. I will use this product in the future.
