I bought this to replace a non-FTDI programming cable I bought in 2012 that is no longer supported by Windows 10. On the day I received the item, I also received a message through the Revain Marketplace from Sergey @MirKit with a detailed two-page email describing the product, how to install it, and how to use it with regular software. The message also includes information on how to contact MirKit for further assistance if needed. While I didn't need any help with the product, I was very impressed with the support MirKit provides. It was so impressive that I wrote Sergey a message to let him know that I appreciate the thought behind his note and that the product is well built, contains a true FTDI chipset and meets all product requirements. To my surprise, a few hours later, I received a reply from Sergei. Because of the overall quality of the product (red FTDI programming cable) and the support offered, I've started recommending MirKit to all my hobbyist friends who use BaoFeng. and need cables for programming. I would recommend it without hesitation and would also recommend paying a few bucks more to get the quality and support that MirKit offers.
