Excellent product for my purposes. Our basement is finished so this provides extra security for the basement door. JIK worker wants to come and inspect the house ;) I don't expect that to happen (I have cameras too) but life happens and I don't want to be a victim! on the way to hotel rooms etc. I don't really need a permanent lock or deadbolt on the door, no holes if I put in another type. This is exactly what I wanted and works as described, can't open the door and when you're on the other side you can't tell there's something holding the door closed. Easy to turn on and off! The only suggestion would be to make the flange a bit longer to hold onto when closing the door with the lock to avoid rubbing your knuckles. Still a 5 star product, especially for $7 I think it was $7!
