The ear hooks are too narrow to fit comfortably on the ears. If you find standard surgical masks horrible around your ears, you will find them even worse. Yes, they have a bandage so they don't pull on the back of their ears, but that only helps if the ears don't get pinched from above and below. I don't have big ears either. I'm rating it a 2 instead of a 1 because the overall build and quality seems good.
