I bought this primarily to use with my portable projector, not for use with my DSLR. For this purpose it was ideal. Love how easy it is to adjust and how stable the legs are. I also took it into town once with my Nikon D800 and it worked great. It carried the weight of the camera with ease and allowed me to capture some shots that I would not have been able to capture without it. I love that it has a hole on one end that can be used for wall mounting, but haven't tried it yet. This may come in handy when I wall mount the projector in the future. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a versatile portable tripod that can be used multiple times!
