Review on Wood Trick Mystery Flower Wooden by Shane Solorzano

I might have been more pleasantly impressed if I hadn't just finished the UGEARS hurdy-gurdy, but the project suffers. While it's very beautiful, the sheer complexity doesn't seem worth the hassle. The laser cut isn't as clean and the plywood itself isn't as high quality as I would expect from the UGEARS project. I'd like it to be thinner, but given the amount of separation that's occurred at the edges of the piece, it's probably a good thing that the plywood is *not* thinner too. It would also be nice to have some of the smaller attachments on hand as I feel like I've wasted too much time scouring the floor for the tiny bits that (Hello 21, 20 and 4) are essential and irreplaceable . The instructions are NOT clear in many places, and the forced perspective used in some of the drawings makes it less, not more, clear which end of the piece is which. I wanted to make a positive impression on this beautiful box but instead I'm frustrated and disappointed. If you are looking for a wooden puzzle, skip Wood Tricks and choose UGEARS.
