Caps my wine and whiskey bottles perfectly. The instructions say not to put a bottle in it, but my wine cooler doesn't have a vertical section, so I put it in and it never leaks. I've read many articles saying these pumps are irrelevant. Whether it's psychology or fact, I've found that my wine stays more consistent and stable for days with this pump than with traditional recapping. I figured using these corks wouldn't harm my whiskey, especially since it takes me longer to empty a bottle. Corks are also easy to clean. Simply remove the top, rinse, air dry. I haven't found a wine/whisky bottle that doesn't fit, but I mostly have traditional 750ml bottles.
