Wow! I've had it for about 5 months now - it works great! I drink quite a bit of red wine and almost always leave a glass or two in the bottle. Before buying this glass or two mostly vinegar for 1-2 days (depending on the type of wine). If you have half a bottle or more left over, this pump will keep half the bottle tasting like it was just opened for 3-4 days. This is an inexpensive way to extend the life of your wine and not feel like you have to drink the whole bottle at once. You may not need it, but it will help. After I open the bottle, vacuum the bottle immediately. On the second day it is slightly fresh. I can't feel any noticeable difference between the first opening and the second day.
