. I haven't gotten used to it yet but I like it now

It took me a while to get used to it but I like it now! Moisten the outer rim of the cork, place the cork in the wine bottle and start pumping. Once you hear the "click-click" sound, you've deflated. To release the plug (to let the air back in), simply push the center of the plug to the side.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Weight

Direct and to the point. We tend to overpay for wine to be preserved, regularly opening multiple bottles at once to enjoy the taste. Unfortunately I had to wade through very expensive sour grapes for a year and bring in overly similar adjustments that just didn't hold up the suction. I'm happy to announce that the hunt is over! Check out my reviews. I am not a paid blogger. I say buy with confidence! For your health!

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

My wife no longer has to drink wine to avoid wasting it.

My wife loves red wine. Not me. We are poor too. That means when we open a bottle, it has to do one of two things. 1) Drink it all at once. This leaves my 90 pound wife in a pile on the bathroom floor. No pleasure. 2) leave open. The cheap things we buy go bad as hell. She's either drinking stale wine or making sangria. It was a good cheap vacuum that worked well and reliably sealed bottles of different sizes. My wife can enjoy a glass a day all week long and doesn't feel guilty when things go…

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Style 90

Great corks for red/white wines and whisky!

Caps my wine and whiskey bottles perfectly. The instructions say not to put a bottle in it, but my wine cooler doesn't have a vertical section, so I put it in and it never leaks. I've read many articles saying these pumps are irrelevant. Whether it's psychology or fact, I've found that my wine stays more consistent and stable for days with this pump than with traditional recapping. I figured using these corks wouldn't harm my whiskey, especially since it takes me longer to empty a bottle. Corks

Do not turn the bottle on its side.

I will do my best to provide an unbiased one year review of this product. Pros: - It keeps our wine fresh - All our friends always ask "What's that?" And it's always followed by "Honey, we must get them." Then we give them away for birthdays/holidays because our friends always forgot haha - Simple and fun. can flow. I'm guessing this is an error on our part, or it could be an issue with the product, but corking the wine and tipping it on its side is a no go. That's all I have. We haven't had…

Wow! I've had it for about 5 months now - it works great! I drink quite a bit of red wine and almost always leave a glass or two in the bottle. Before buying this glass or two mostly vinegar for 1-2 days (depending on the type of wine). If you have half a bottle or more left over, this pump will keep half the bottle tasting like it was just opened for 3-4 days. With 1 glass left in the bottle, rest assured this pump will keep your wine in good condition for a day or two. Will i buy it again…

Pros
  • Suitable for all red and white wines.
Cons
  • High Price

Believe the hype! Wine still tastes good after 2 days

This is an inexpensive way to extend the life of your wine and not feel like you have to drink the whole bottle at once. You may not need it, but it will help. After I open the bottle, vacuum the bottle immediately. On the second day it is slightly fresh. I can't feel any noticeable difference between the first opening and the second day. On the third day it holds up well. I tried it after 4-5 days but it's not for me. Maybe it's still drinkable, but I don't drink. PRO TIP: Other reviewers have

Lasted 3.5 years and still works like new

I bought this for my husband about 3.5 years ago and he has been using it ever since. It was the first vacuum pump he'd ever tried on his wine bottles, so we didn't think much of it. It did what it was supposed to do and you can feel it working with each pump, which gets progressively stronger as the bottle runs out of air. When it's fully sucked up, the pump will make a click, indicating you're done. Dead easy. I recently bought my husband a new 6 cap pump as sometimes we have parties and more

  • Not fashionable
