It's hard to tell which adapters will work and what quality they will be. My goal was to use my Logitech USB headset with my old clunky iPhone 6 with a wobbly headphone jack. Connected the adapter to the phone, connected the headset to the USB port, and then connected the lightning charging cable. Tested to make sure it worked in the Notes app, then made a call. Everything worked great! The adapter itself actually looks like Apple, although the plastic feels lighter in the hand than most original Apple adapters.
