The tripod and tripod are sturdy and can be extended a total of 54 inches after unlocking the 3 extension clamps. There were very few pictures in the instructions and it took me a while to figure out how to install the phone mount at the right angle. I was only going to use this with my iPhone so I didn't attach an iPad holder but I found it easy enough to attach to a stand. It's a bit heavier than I expected, but not a deal breaker. The ability to extend the camera 4 feet allowed for some cool shots. Using it on a tripod was easy and convenient. The Bluetooth locking mechanism already had a battery installed, but it was dead. I was glad the kit included extra dough - it worked when I replaced it with a new one. (The parts of the clasp are very small, not recommended for people with big hands.) Hold the Bluetooth trigger for a few seconds, the blue light will flash, and my iPhone was found and connected immediately. I've never had a selfie stick with a separate Bluetooth shutter button to take pictures, but I certainly liked it and the connection worked well. After a few minutes of non-use, the Bluetooth shutter will blink a few times and then turn off automatically. 4 stars was only for the difficulty in setting up and changing the battery. Otherwise it's a very decent product and I will definitely use it in the future.
