The German word for this handy tool has been named Deutsche Welle's Word of the Week: German is like Lego: just put the words together to make ( to think) a new compound concept. A good example is eggshell breaking point. That's long, of course, but if you literally parse "the cause of the supposed eggshell destruction point," it actually makes sense. At least for the Germans, everyone else needs a few words to explain what this breakfast gadget can do. Put simply, the eggshell cracker is used to crack open the shell of a cooked egg. Admittedly, they are not as common in Germany as they should be, because soft-boiled eggs, served in egg cups with mini egg spoons, are simply part of the traditional German breakfast. However, people who haven't had a second cup of coffee can be excused by breaking eggs with spoons instead of asking about "eggshell crackers." Although dropping a load on an egg remains something everyone should try at least once. I watched a few videos on youtube and decided this is the toy I should have. Good quality and weight. Breaks eggs as advertised.
