Inateck Superspeed 7 Ports PCI-E to USB 3.0 Expansion Card Review Works for now, buy it if you need it, here is what i had to do: 1: turn off and unplug the pc 2: connect the extension cable (molex or sata) to the power supply and the card, the green indicator is on after the pc restarts 3: need to download driver from Inateck4: had to right Mouse click to run as administrator to install downloaded drivers5: Extension cables need to be longer USB transfer speed depends on hard disk rotation speed, USB cable, Windows configuration and PCIE6 speed: adjust the disk write speed; Control Panel > Device Manager > Disks > select USB drive > right click > select properties > Policies > Check for best performance > Reboot (Note: You may need to check write caching policy > enable write caching on this device; WARNING : This will disable HOT-SWAP, you need to right click on the icon to remove the device from the notification area and safely remove the device and media 34MBmax 32MB average 127.6MB Burst8: speed after tuning : WD Element Portable @ 5400 rpm 18 MB Min 225 MB Max 162 MB Average 157 MB Chest9: Speed after Setup USB Pluggable Enclosure with Samsung HD at 5400 rpm 36 Min 75 Max 59 Average 138 Chest Actual File transfer rate: 10: WD Element Portable at 5400 rpm Actual file transfer 8 GB 60s 113 MB/s11: Detachable USB housing with Samsung HD at 5400 rpm Actual transfer 8 GB, D File 45s, 158MB/sOS: Windows 7 64 SP-1 Motherboard: Gigabyte 970 -ds3pram: 32GB ddr3
